The Story Behind
the Bean.

From the vines to cured pods, Every step by hand

Our Story

Lago Bloom Vanilla Farm

A farm shaped by passion, curiosity, and innovation.

How It Began

From curiosity
to reality.

Lago Bloom was born from a single question: with Thailand’s lush ecosystems and perfect humidity right at our doorstep, why wasn’t there a world class Thai vanilla?

That question led us to years of learning. Nurturing the vanilla plant, refining our methods, and developing a fermentation technique uniquely suited to the Thai microclimate.

Today we are a small scale, intentional operation. We grow slowly, cure carefully, and sell only what meets our own standard. Every bean carries the character of the forest and the depth of our unique fermentation.

The Land

Kaeng Krachan

Our farm sits on the shoreline of Kaeng Krachan, on the edge of Thailand's largest national park. Where the forest provides rich soil, high humidity, and an ecosystem teeming with wildlife. We water our vanilla exclusively with water drawn from the Kaeng Krachan reservoir, The cleanest natural water source in the region.

Living Soil

Extended Curing

The secret to a quality bean is time.

We allow a minimum of eight months, incorporating a controlled fermentation and conditioning process that develops the deep, complex base notes that distinguish our vanilla from commodity products.

During fermentation, naturally occurring enzymes convert glucovanillin into free vanillin, the primary aromatic compound in vanilla. While simultaneously generating over 250 additional flavour molecules.

Warmth

The journey begins with gentle heat.

Sweat

The beans are wrapped and insulated.

Dry

The beans are moved to open air racks.

Conditioning
